Shop Small - Support Local
 

In partnership with the City of Pleasanton, we have launched a brand new Shop Small - Support Local campaign to encourage our Pleasanton community to shop, dine and visit local this holiday season and beyond. Our newest campaign, a spinoff and extension of Small Business Saturday, will promote vitality downtown and encourage residents to support our incredible local businesses. Small business Saturday, a Nationwide celebration that was founded by American Express over 10 years ago, will take place on Saturday, November 28th this year. With Covid-19 restrictions and the changes from American Express this year we have reimaged our traditional Small Business Saturday event. We will still be promoting shopping small on November 28th, however we are expanding and promoting Shop Small – Support Local throughout the entire holiday season.
 
This campaign emphasizes the importance of supporting our small businesses in downtown and why shopping local is vital, calling attention to the valuable and distinct contributions small businesses make to our community and local economy. For every $1 spent at a small business, $0.67 stays in the community*.
 
Shop Small – Support Local will celebrate small businesses ranging from retail stores and restaurants to fitness studios and salons, and everything in between.
